Why I'm publishing the book before it's finished
The manuscript isn't finished. Pieces of it are going up anyway, and here is why.
I’m writing a book called Captaincy of Work and Life. It is on draft six and a half. It is not finished, and I’m going to publish pieces of it here anyway.
The usual advice is to keep the manuscript in a drawer until it’s perfect. I don’t buy it. Every good thing I’ve built got better because other people got their hands on it early: a business, a framework, a team. The book is no different.
So here is the deal. When a chapter gets to the point where I’d be happy for a client to read it, it goes up here. Some of it will change. Some of it will get cut. You’ll see the working.
If you read something and think I’ve got it wrong, tell me. My email is on the front page. That is the whole point of doing it this way.
